Classes to suit your needs
Choose from different types of classes to suit your needs. You can attend classes in-room or go online. There are also individualised private sessions and tailor-made group and corporate classes that can be conducted at your preferred location.
In-Room Yoga Classes
Face-to-face classes bring together people in a way that builds connection and also elevates their learning and observational skills. Classes are held at various locations.

Active Yoga
Monday 9.15am – 10.15am
Start the week with a dynamic and energetic practice to wake the body and senses. This is recommended for those with some experience in yoga or who are active individuals and seniors. We will go through various yoga poses that will build resilience and develop greater awareness of your body.
Restorative Yoga
Monday 10.30am – 11.15am
Join this class for a calming, restorative practice to sooth your mind and alleviate strain in your body. The class is suitable for those who maybe feeling stressed, facing chronic physical conditions, or who are in pain from injuries. You will benefit from the deep restorative benefits of yoga poses and mindful breath work.
Seniors Yoga (Beginners)
Tuesday 10.30am – 11.30am
For seniors who are just starting out on their yoga journey, this is the best class for you. The class is run at a slower pace and we go through foundational poses so you can learn how to apply the techniques. Classes are modified to suit individual needs, no matter your age, background or physical condition.
Seniors Yoga (Experienced)
Wednesday 10.30am – 11.30am
For those who have prior yoga experience, this class offers a greater depth of learning and practice. The foundational skills you learnt are developed further; you will be exposed to different poses that draw from various categories – Standing, Forward Bends, Backbends, Twists, Abdominals and Inversions.
General Yoga (For Under 55s)
Wednesday 6.00pm – 7.00pm
Yoga is not just for seniors! Suitable for working adults, beginners and those keen to restart their yoga practice after some time away, we explore a full range of yoga poses from foundational to more challenging asanas depending on your level of experience. Bookings are absolutely essential as class sizes are small and may change accordingly.
General Yoga
Thursday 9.00am – 10.00am
Held at PCYC Marrickville, this is a fun, friendly group who come together to practise yoga. While the environment is relaxed, the yoga is disciplined! Class is $17 per session (you have to be a member of PCYC – $30 annual membership fee).

Active Seniors
Thursday 10.30am – 11.30am
Experience yoga in an inclusive and welcoming setting. Classes are held at Half Moon Yoga, a not-for-profit, community-based Iyengar yoga studio. Suitable for Seniors and Beginners. Class is $22 for casual ($15 per class if you sign up for the Term).

Online Yoga Classes
You will be surprised what you can achieve in an online class. There is close supervision and you will benefit from a teacher observing you and guiding you while you are online.

Tuesday 8.00am – 8.45am (AEST)
A full range of yoga poses will be taught in this class. Suitable for those with yoga experience; you will learn how to work intelligently with props from home and learn techniques to practise safely and effectively. Classes are run as a 6-week series. Student numbers are limited per class.

Private classes are meant to suit your specific needs, whether these are to allow for one-on-one interaction or to attend to any special requirements. You will benefit from personalized attention and can expect a fully customized program according to your condition.
Yoga Therapy
Yoga Therapy classes are suitable for anyone with a medical condition that needs special care and attention. A range of yoga techniques will be used including asanas and pranayama. You will receive a personalized practice plan at the end of session.
Group and Corporate Yoga
Group and Corporate classes are conducted at various locations. The classes are set up to cater specifically to the needs of the group/corporate organisation. The yoga class can be taught in English, Chinese and at times, a hint of other languages where necessary.
Current and past clients include Retirement Villages, Aged Care Homes, Council Community Centres, Department of Communities and Justice, Early Childhood Educators and non-profit organisations.
