Seniors (Beginners) Yoga

For seniors who are just starting out on their yoga journey, this is the best class for you. The class is run at a slower pace and we go through foundational poses so you can learn the technique of alignment, balance and integration.

Seniors (Experienced) Yoga

For those who have prior yoga experience, this class offers a greater depth of learning and practice. You will be exposed to different poses from various categories – Standing, Forward Bends, Backbends, Twists, Abdominals and Inversions..

General Yoga in Mortdale hall

General Yoga

Suitable for those with some level of fitness or those with prior yoga experience and would like to learn the Iyengar yoga methodology. We explore a full range of yoga poses from foundational to more challenging asanas depending on your level of experience.  This is a hybrid class with online option.

Strengthening Yoga in Chinese (Beginners)

Beginner-friendly classes specially catered to Chinese-speaking community. Classes are also opened to English-speaking older adults, so expect a dynamic learning environment where you can mix, mingle and make new friends while learning yoga! Classes run on a 8-week term (check dates while booking).

Early Bird Yoga (General)

An early morning practice sets you up for the day and for the week. Experience the camaraderie, the fulfillment and the discipline you develop in class. In this fully equipped studio, you get to learn and practise a wide range of poses. Suitable for students with basic Iyengar yoga experience.

Calling all seniors in the vibrant Inner West community! Come and experience the transformative benefits of yoga. Learn the basics, build body awareness, explore the use of props in an Iyengar yoga studio. Choose from one or both of these classes held at the Half Moon Yoga studio.

Iyengar Yoga (Mixed level)

Held in the Hannaford Community Centre in Rozelle, this class offers a chance to practise and learn the Iyengar yoga method. In a hall with mixed level of practitioners, from those with fundamental experience to those who have practised for many years, you will get to learn at a deeper level and understand how to adapt poses to your ability. You need to a member of Hannaford Community Centre to attend the class at subsidised rate.

Private Yoga

Private classes are meant to suit your specific needs, whether these are to allow for one-on-one interaction or to attend to any special requirements. These classes are suitable for anyone with a medical condition that needs special care and attention. A range of yoga techniques will be used including asanas and pranayama.

Group Yoga

Group yoga classes are conducted exclusively for organisations, whether these are for residents, staff or general members. The yoga class can be taught in English and Chinese.

Current and past clients include Retirement Villages, Aged Care Homes, Local Councils, Department of Communities and Justice, and various non-profit organisations.
